Buying Inscribable Bows?
Hey,
Where is the best place to buy low-end, inscribable bows? Can they cost as low as 1k for max damage bows? Should I just buy from a merchant? Because for me, 5k + materials just for a standard bow is too much
I need it for a conjure build
edit:
I just bought one! I didn't know when ppl meant gold weps, they meant inscribable . Anyways, i bought a fiery dead bow of fortitude (+29) w/ a 15/^50 for 1k. fair priced?

That's a damn good price imo for those great mods! The reason it was so cheap was maybe due to the seller's noobiness or that the health inscription wasn't perfect...
Grats and have fun playing w/ conjure flames! just don't burn yourself....

When you say merchants, I think you mean crafters. And yes, most players who have been around for a while have an abundance of decent weapons. I even sell req 8 golds to the merchant sometimes due to lack of storage space. If you have a nice guild, I bet someone there would give you some bow upgrades or whatever it is you need.

Its not a "great" deal coz dead bows are worth like nothing. But its not that bad a deal. U can get gold inscribable weapons of non-rare skins for like 1k. Just check out the storage clearout sales in the Sell section and theres usually like a tonne of things for 1k each.

^ Or alliance.
Anyways, it really depends on what weapons and with what mods you're looking to buy.
If I need a pulling flatbow/longbow I can get one with unperfect mods for very cheap (2k and less) from people like me who sell their golds cheap because they know their prices and don't wanna be sitting 3 hours for 5k. Most other gold inscribable weapons can be bargained about the same.
However, if I'm looking for a 40/40 casting set, I'd be better off crafting them, because 10k+mats is way less expensive than the inscriptions needed for it (30kish); that is, if I don't care about the skin.

I honestly envy you on your enthusiasm for trading. Mine has died a long, long time ago.

If you want a weapon that's going to serve well rather than look like the "dogs what'snames" - then don't worry about buying max Gold weapons (unless you have access to the high-end crafters) because you can get max-damage inscribable bows from crafters (wiki has a list) - you can add Mod's salvaged from the Golds to your hearts content.
Also, try the 'hidden treasure' run in Nightfall (if you have the campaign) - I've had several golds drop with 'perfect' inscriptions - and my rangers now have a couple of very nice Silencing Deldrimor bows!
